The position of IT Business Systems Analyst reports to IT Manager and is responsible, under guidance, for analyzing business processes and informational needs and making recommendations for improving the efficiencies and effectiveness of business applications. This position is also responsible for evaluating new software applications and technologies for applicability within the business and provides implementation assistance and support for those applications as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

Provides technical assistance in training, mentoring, and coaching professional and technical staff with particular emphasis on supporting ERP/CPQ/CRM applications.
Develops and provides support for business reporting using Jet Reports and/or Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services.
Provides support for Dynamics NAV and Dynamics CRM, including administration.
Defines and documents company business functions and processes.
Consults with functional unit management and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access.
Acts as a liaison between departmental end-users and IT in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and maintenance of systems in support of business processes.
Analyzes the feasibility of and develops requirements for new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the users' needs.
Tracks and fully documents change for functional and business specifications; writes detailed universally understood procedures for permanent records and use in training.
Identifies opportunities for improving business processes and function.
Assists in preparing proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes.
Plans, organizes and conducts business process reengineering/improvement projects.
Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality and releases.
Provide end-user support at all levels.
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Assist vendors and other IT personnel in support of data warehouse and cube development.

Position Requirements

Proven working knowledge of business processes.
Degree in Computer Science or Business Management or equivalent experience
Hands-on experience in business process analysis
Knowledge of Relational Databases, MS-SQL
Knowledge of OLAP databases (Data warehouse and cube)
Ability to document requirements and specifications.
Strong coordination, organization, teaming, and communication abilities
Works well individually or in a group setting.
Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
Experience with Dynamics NAV (Navision) or equivalent ERP system
Experience with Dynamics CRM or equivalent CRM system
Experience with CPQ Administration (preferably Experlogix)

Preferred Qualifications:

BS degree in Computer Science, Business Management or a related subject or equivalent work experience
Proven working knowledge of business processes.
Experience with Dynamics NAV (Navision) or equivalent ERP system
Experience with Dynamics CRM or equivalent CRM system
Knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL
Experience with CPQ Administration (preferably Experlogix)
