A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN INFUSION RN / REGISTERED NURSE
As an Infusion RN / Registered Nurse, you are the backbone of our business! You work independently to provide all aspects of infusion therapy services in accordance with our established policies and protocols. Coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team, including the referring healthcare providers, is also an important part of your job. It is a combination of your excellent communication, people, and technical skills that help you excel in this position.
You greet each patient with a warm smile and put them at ease throughout the process with your confident, patient demeanor. In addition to the direct administration of infusion therapy including placing vascular access devices, preparing and administering medications, you are passionate about properly educating patients and their families regarding their diagnoses and prescribed treatments.
You are also conscientious about documenting everything accurately in each patient's electronic medical records. And, you always take the time to carefully assess and monitor their condition before, during, and after treatments. You feel great about the important service you provide for both the practices we partner with and their patients, all while still enjoying a high level of work-life balance.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN INFUSION RN / REGISTERED NURSE
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- 2 years of direct Bio Infusion experience, drugs used for treatment of numerous diseases and conditions (ED/ICU/Infusion/Oncology)
- 3 years or more of any other extensive IV/infusion treatment that is directed toward disease treatment.
- Vascular access skills including placement of peripheral IVs, blood draws, and care of central lines
- Comfort with technology
- Ability to work independent
