The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time of Project Coordinator for a multi-site national protocol being conducted as part of the NIDA Clinical Trials Network that is investigating different methods of detoxification from opiates and induction onto medication.

Under the guidance of study leadership, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the research protocol at the study site, this includes:

  • Working collaboratively with the Study Site Investigators and the Lead study team, including the NIDA contracted coordinating center, to assist with the implementation and daily operations of research the study protocol.
  • Adherence to the study protocol and standard operating procedures,
  • Screening participants on phone/in-person,
  • Data collection and data entry,
  • Coordination of care and research visits with clinical staff,
  • Developing and submitting reports to the Lead study team,
  • Maintenance of study documents,
  • Coordination and communication with the study team, including facilitating weekly local team meetings
  • Participation on national study conference calls and trainings,
  • Supervision of the Research Support Assistant on site

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree plus minimum 3 years experience of clinical research
  • Master's degree with at least 1 years experience of clinical research

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of and/or experience in research in substance use disorders populations, particularly treatment of opiate dependence.

In accordance with NYS Office of Mental Health regulations, RFMH employees at NYSPI are required to be vaccinated with at least one dose of vaccine against COVID-19 by Monday, November 1st, 2021, and to be fully vaccinated by December 10, 2021.
