Working on the front lines supporting a diverse set of end users, the Support Assistant will perform routine setup and configuration of PCs and other end-user computer equipment. She/he will maintain accurate and detailed records of inventory and user information and requests and project network, computer and data resources per established procedures. She/he will provide email, phone and in-person support for institute clinical, research and administrative staff. Assistant will have the opportunity to further develop technical skills and advance in the IT group.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage computers and related equipment for installation throughout the organization
Answer support questions from end users
Maintain accurate equipment and user request and inventory information
Support project tracking
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience as a help desk technician working with computer equipment
Ability to carry moderate (<50 pound) boxes short distances, to support setup of PCs and related equipment
Proficiency using Microsoft office software including minimally Word, Excel and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience providing level 1/level 2 IT support over the phone
Experience supporting IT in a healthcare setting
