Hours: Approximately 4-20 hours per week.


The CE department needs students to work a variety of positions. They will be assigned as needed and available to our students on a first come basis. The role may include all the positions depending on departmental needs.

Webinar Moderator (mostly weekends, some week days)

Responsible for hosting our webinars to make sure the participants and the instructor feel welcome and respond to any questions in the chat as needed.

  • Before the participants arrive, you will be online with the instructor. Make sure the instructor is set up as a co-host and can use the tools in ZOOM to share their screen to play their PPT presentation.
  • Determine the plan for the day (live Q&A, breaks, polling questions, etc.) check to see if there are any questions before we get started.
  • As the participants come into the session, turn your mic on to welcome people, and type this into the chat. The instructor can also say "hello" as people arrive:

"Welcome to (insert session title here), we will get started in a few minutes. Please use the chat feature to share your questions with the instructor.

  • At the appropriate start time, the instructor will introduce themselves to the audience and start the presentation.

Coffee and snack delivery (mostly weekends)

Pick up and deliver coffee and snacks to on campus CE seminars. You will be paid a minimum of 2 hours per day to do this. Pick up left overs and clean up tables as needed.

Office assistant (weekdays)

You will assist CE staff with office work like filing, stuffing envelopes, alphabetizing documents, typing evaluations summaries and other projects as needed. MS Office experience is preferred.
