As we begin the reopening process in Maryland, North Point Builders is looking for talented, dynamic commercial construction professionals to help us make a positive impact throughout the Baltimore Area.
We are currently seeking an experienced construction Project Manager to plan, coordinate and oversee the execution of ground-up, renovations and tenant improvement projects that range up to $20 million and include hospitals, public safety buildings, laboratories, public schools, universities and other spaces.
This will be an exceptional opportunity to collaborate with a team of dedicated construction professionals to delight our public and commercial private sector clients by ensuring their projects are completed safely, on time and on budget.
As one of our Project Managers, you will oversee the daily management and execution of the construction process including the overall cost management, contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding and contract administration functions.
If you're the right Project Manager for our team, you'll have five (5) to ten (10) years of general construction management experience in various general commercial construction markets and product types and experience managing projects ranging in budget from $300K to $20M. It is highly preferred that you have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related.
You should be skilled in job cost management and have a working proficiency using the Timberline/Sage PM platform. You should also have skills in construction phasing and scheduling using MS Project. Additionally, you will possess well-developed skills in estimating, change order management and technical writing.
If you're our ideal candidate, you'll have foresight to predict problems before they develop and possess the fortitude to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You'll be a "master juggler" who can adapt and multi-task with a sense of urgency while adhering to established guidelines and specifications. You'll also possess a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
You should be an effective communicator who possesses the ability to build strong internal and external relationships and who can present a proposal with competence and confidence.
Mostly importantly, you must be someone who will embrace our core values of collaboration, communication and integrity. You must have excellent interpersonal skills, be well respected by the subcontractor community, be able to work successfully in a collaborative team environment.
