Title: Operations Support System (OSS) Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Operations Support System (OSS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the NetCentrics information technology (IT) support efforts for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Joint Service Provider (JSP)
- Provide SME support to a customer-focused organization that provides, manages, operates, and maintains IT shared services for the Pentagon and select agencies and organizations in the National Capital Region (NCR)
- Perform a wide variety of enterprise support functions in order to meet service requirements. These functions may include server hosting, in which the hardware, software, infrastructure, and maintenance required to host the customer-managed applications are in a consolidated, virtualized environment where JSP manages the server environment up to the operating system and provides operational monitoring and facility support for the Operations (OPS) consolidated server rooms (CSRs)
- Provide technical expertise in supporting the OSS task within the JSP infrastructure
- Facilitate and automate the Operations, Administration, Maintenance, and Provisioning (OAM&P) activities for JSP using commercial best practices and industry technologies, standards, and frameworks
- Provide the structure of the OSS OOB Management Network architecture, governance and oversight of the enterprise tools by first capturing and gathering the tools hosted within JSP for each of the different branches within the different centers; eliminate the redundant tools across JSP and provide a more proficient and better utilization of the enterprise tools
- Analyze and re-design the OSS Out of Band (OOB) management network; assist with the build out of OSS framework, help establish policies and procedures for tools and rationalization of tools
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Management Systems, Telecommunications, or Management Information Systems, and 5 years of professional experience
- Proven technical ability in the architecture, deployment, and sustainment of COTS, GOTS, and custom-built applications
- 5 years of experience in computer system engineering; hardware and software analysis, system integration, and system maintenance
- Minimum 3 years of work-related experience in the following computer related areas: Networks, Servers, and systems management; Public Key Infrastructure, IT customer support; computer server and workstation installation, diagnosis and repair; technical writing; computer security; knowledge management; database administration, design and management; system maintenance; information technology project management; Information System Testing
- Knowledge of a range of current information technologies, computing platforms, and network systems, such as: cloud computing, blade server, unified communications, collaboration tools, cryptographic systems, social networks tools, enterprise services
- Experience securing Operating Systems to comply with DISA STIGs; network experience configuring and maintaining desktop firewalls
- Experience configuring security policies to protect system applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate technical subjects to nontechnical staff are required
- DoD 8570 Baseline Certification
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
