Title: Tier 2 Technician (Temp)

This is a full-time, onsite position to support a special project. The work starts on March 1, 2022 and goes through July 31, 2022 with potential to extend to September, 2022. 1099 are welcome as well.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software in order to deliver required desktop service levels
- Provide excellent technical knowledge of PC and desktop hardware and associated diagnostic tools to perform remote diagnostics
- Perform onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including offsite repair for remote users as needed
- Assess the need for and implement performance upgrades to PC boxes, including the installation of CPUs, I/O and NIC cards, hard disks, hard drives, RAM, memory chips, CD-ROMs, etc.
- Collaborate with LAN technicians/network administrators to ensure efficient operation of the desktop computing environment
- Administer and resolve issues with associated end-user workstation networking software products, where required
- Develop and maintain Knowledge Documents (Work Instructions) in accordance with Knowledge Management processes. Work with Knowledge Manager
- Provide analysis related to the design, development and implementation of hardware for products
- Develop test strategies, devices and systems
- Liaise with third-party support and vendors, if necessary
- Support and provide feedback to ensure continual process improvement
- Provide rapid support response for break/fix and requirement requests
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 6 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree
- 5+ years of professional IT experience including 2+ years of experience in a management or technical team lead role administering operational computing environments
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Active Public Trust security clearance
- Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing system in order to follow established Service Desk processes for ticket management

Desired qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of SCCM
- ITIL Foundation certification
- DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification
