Title: Chief Engineer

Location: Herndon, VA


  • Responsible for engineering analysis and trades made at the system level
  • Act as the lead engineer for entire system
  • Work with system security engineer on integrating security into overall engineering efforts
  • Represent the company with engineering products and solutions
  • Design, maintain, implement, or improve electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products or systems for industrial, commercial or domestic purposes
  • Ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements, by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings or topographical maps
  • Establish construction, manufacturing, installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations
  • Ensure compliance with specifications, codes or customer requirements, by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities
  • Write reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies
  • Prepare specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials
  • Supervise or train project team members


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and 10+ years of electrical or mechanical engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience in managing complex electrical/electronic systems to include:
    • System Analysis
    • Systems Architecture
    • Systems/Equipment Support
    • Test and Evaluation and Logistics support of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR)
  • Active DOD 8570 IAM Level II Certification
  • Active Professional Engineering (PE) License
  • Ability to travel about 50% or more may be required
  • Industrial Control Systems/SCADA experience desired
  • Ability to pass the national agency background investigation
