This position is remote eligible; however, candidate must live within 50 miles of Patuxent River and be available to report for meetings as deemed necessary by the contract. Candidates residing outside of 50 miles of Patuxent River, MD will not be considered.
Job Summary

SITEC provides support services as required for continuous operation of the Software Support Activity Software Production Facilities including complete lifecycle services for our customers platforms.

The qualified applicant shall analyze computer science, engineering, and other software engineering problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications problems, system design and development issues, or network

Perform software management and integration functions, improve existing computer systems, and review computer system capabilities, software architecture, throughput, real-time processing limitations, Cybersecurity, and software safety.

Analyze commercially available, open source, government furnished, and Contractor furnished

Perform the role of Software Architect.

Collaborate with other NAVAIR departments such as System/Software Safety and Cyber detachment in performance of duties.
Primary Responsibilities

Collaborate with the development team to design and develop new AR/VR capabilities

Integrate AR/VR tools with other simulation tools

Formalize and document software interfaces, VERDE Developer
Basic Qualifications
ACTIVE SECRET OR TOP SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

BS or BA degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering from a college program with ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc.) certification.

Degree REQUIRED, neither an associate degree or additional years of experience can be substituted for the degree.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- At least five (5) years of Software engineering experience performing software requirements analysis, software design, software coding, software integration, and software testing.
At least three (3) years of experience shall of consisted of performing software engineering functions for a DoD aircraft systems, DoD weapons systems, Mission systems or support systems.
Desired Competencies

Proficient in C# or similar object-oriented programming language

Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine

Experience with version control systems such as Git

Familiarity with AWS or other cloud computing platforms
