Duties:

Major job functions include performing nursing tasks to assure resident needs are met. This includes: assess and evaluate resident needs, condition and care; administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician; orders and receives medications from the pharmacy; evaluates for side effects of medications and reports to appropriate personnel; admits and discharges residents; oversees LPN/CNA staff; ensures narcotic policy and procedures are followed; completes charting required; ensures resident care plans are followed; conducts assessments of residents with condition changes and reports to ADON/DON. In addition, the RN will transcribe and execute physician orders; completes documentation as required; completes fall reporting; reports any bruises, skin tears and abuse/neglect; gives report to nursing staff; follows and upholds Resident Bill of Rights and facility policies and procedures; maintains confidentiality and follows HIPAA requirements; supervises and directs licensed and non-licensed staff; assists with orientation of new staff; etc. Provides excellent customer service and communication to all residents/families/visitors/MD's/ coworkers, etc.

Qualifications:

This position requires RN licensure with the Georgia Board of Nursing. Must have a desire to work with the elderly. Must maintain confidentiality to ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations.
