METCOR/LSI has a need for an Instructional Designer to design and develop learning materials for federal employees. The Instructional Designer position is full-time and offers a long-term opportunity for internal growth within an established organization.

The Instructional Designer role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Collaborative design and development of learning materials (presentations, quick reference tools, instructor, and participant guides, etc.) on a variety of topics
  • Development of web-based training in Lectora, Captivate, and/or Storyline
  • Editing and content review for other team members

Requirements for the Instructional Designer role include:

  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing training materials on a variety of topics
  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing web-based training with Lectora, Captivate, Storyline and other development technologies
  • Experience in designing and developing highly interactive virtual training
  • Experience with the ADDIE process of Instructional Design
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Champion of life-long learning and self-development
  • Experience in accessibility compliance testing preferred
