Meat Manager - Danvers MA - The Meat Manager reports to the Store Manager and is guided by the Regional Directors and the Owners. In conjunction with the Store Manager you will be responsible for holding your team accountable for their work. The Meat Manager is responsible for profitability, expense control (packaging and labor), inventory control, buying and merchandising, regulatory compliance and special projects as assigned. Complete accountability for all aspects of team operations and perform all duties and responsibilities of Associates' positions. We are looking for individuals who lead, not manage, work teams.
Duties/Requirements: 1. Demonstrated two or more years of experience directing a team of five or more people. 2. Instruct and train new and existing Meat Department Associates. 3. Strong knowledge of general Meat procedures. 4. Stand and walk for extended periods of time up to 4 hours without a break. 5. Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. 6. Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 80 pounds unassisted. 7. Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds unassisted. 8. Effectively communicate with other Associates and leadership. 9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 10. Strong organizational skills. 11. Previous experience as a Department Manager, Assistant Department Manager or equivalent 12. Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and evenings. 13. Ensure that all policies and procedures specific to the department are being followed and executed
1. Must have 2 years relevant experience as a Department Manager, Assistant Department Manager, or industry equivalent 2. Support of Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager 3. Work harmoniously with all Associates and Department Managers 4. Excellent verbal and written communication 5. Strong organizational skills
