Staff Accountant duties will include Property level general ledger accounting, including balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows, that are accurate and timely Prepare/Review Monthly Financial Statements Perform Month End Close Process in computer system Prepare/Review General Ledger Analysis Prepare/Review Escrow Analysis Assist in Year End Audit Process Prepare/Review Monthly Bank Reconciliations Preparing quarterly reports Reviews vendor invoices for accuracy, supporting documentation, and appropriate approvals. Reviews coding of invoices to ensure appropriate account codes and vendor numbers, accurate allocation of shared expenses, etc Assist Community Managers to resolve accounting issues Assist in New Property Set Up as new properties are acquired Researching trends evident in the financial data and offering analysis that adds value to our bottom line Producing mid-year forecasted financial statements Perform other related duties as required


We prefer a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or an Associates Degree. Great communicator with ability to take the initiative to get things done. Advanced Excel skills - including pivot tables and vlookups - what-if functions for modeling. Real Estate experience, especially in Multi-Family Housing, is a big plus.
