Kleinschmidt has a full-time opening for a Water Resources/Ecological Engineer to design and manage projects in Lancaster, Pennsylvania; Lexington, South Carolina; or Essex, Connecticut. Who You Are
A licensed Professional Engineer with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. A minimum of 10 years of experience in water resource design is required.
Knowledgeable: Prior experience with dam rehabilitation or removal, recreation facilities, stream restoration, wetland restoration, and/or fish passage engineering designs is a must. The candidate should have a working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D software and national/regional CAD drawing standards. Experience with developing technical specifications, cost estimates, and bid documents. Experience with civil site layouts, grading plans, cut/fill analyses, stormwater management plans, soil erosion and sediment control plans, erosion/scour analyses, and bioengineering or hard armoring systems is preferred. Experience with local, state, and federal permitting is a plus.
Project Manager: The candidate will have experience managing multi-disciplinary projects and working with junior to senior level staff. The candidate will have the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prior construction monitoring/owner's engineer experience is a plus.
Relationship-focused: Passion for mentoring junior-level staff. Ability to establish long-lasting relationships with clients to assist them in solving complex engineering work, demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team while applying engineering skills throughout the project.
- Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States and able to acquire authorization to work in Canada
- Must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license
