Manufacturing: Administrative and Human Resources Assistant

Kambium Inc., a manufacturing company, is located in Minnesota just south of the beautiful Twin Cities metro area. Kambium is a manufacturer who provides engineering, contract manufacturing and assembly solutions primarily for wood and laminated components. They also machine acrylic components. Their products and services are as diverse as the needs of their clients. They focus on quality and a drive to consistently exceed customer expectations. Kambium also has a subsidiary, Perfection Custom Closets, located in Chicago, IL.

We are looking for an Administrative and Human Resources Assistant who will actively engage with our workforce, develop strong connections with our customers and manage the administrative functions of our organization.

The position includes administrative responsibilities related to Accounting, Customers/Jobs and HR in coordination with accounting and the CEO. In Human Resources, for example: on-boarding of new employees, coordinating with HR providers, maintaining employee records, OSHA postings/ tracking, reporting work-place injuries, communicating benefits information to employees and assisting with employee engagement activities. This list represents the main responsibilities of the position but is not all inclusive.

The successful candidate will be a proven professional with integrity, a collaborative working style and a strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in combination with an attention to detail and accuracy are essential. This role wears multiple hats and will require a strong reasoning ability to juggle priorities. The successful candidate will also be working with data that requires a high degree of confidentiality and trust. Candidates will have a minimum of a high school diploma and 2+ years of experience in a customer centric organization working within an accounting system.
