JS Solutions, LLC (JSS) in Huntsville, AL is currently hiring for a full-time Systems Integration Engineer to lead systems engineering and technical assistance (SETA) for the U.S. Army's Future Vertical Lift Cross-Functional Team (FVL CFT). The salary for this systems integration DoD contractor position is negotiable, contingent on contract requirements. Additionally, the schedule for this full-time Systems Integration Engineer position is contingent on contract requirements, but it typically Monday Friday. You can expect to travel about 30% of the time both within the continental U.S. (CONUS) and outside the continental U.S. (OCONUS). REQUIREMENTS FOR A SYSTEMS INTEGRATION ENGINEER
In this essential Systems Integration Engineer role, you spend much of your day performing a variety of systems integration engineering tasks including providing technical analysis and support. Using your knowledge and expertise, you assess analyze, integrate, test plan, and evaluate FVL candidate sensors, signal processing, target acquisitions, guidance, navigation, controls, electronics, and computers. Additionally, you effectively influence the design and requirements criteria for the FVL ecosystem, including future long-range assault aircraft (FLRAA), future attack reconnaissance aircraft (FARA), the future unmanned aircraft system, and modular open systems approach (MOSA).
In order to increase reliability, availability, and maintainability, you work to reduce life-cycle sustainment costs, manpower requirements, and fuel consumption. You find ways to ensure the minimal adverse impact to the user as well as identify ways to drive down the logistics costs in terms of manpower, spares, and downtime while adapting proven technologies to enhance the performance, reliability, and environmental compliance. You also assist the government in developing acquisition documents, statements of work, contract data requirements list requirements, work breakdown structures, schedules, and life cycle cost estimates.
Finally, you provide ample support for our open systems architecture (OSA) in the design and development of techniques and technologies aligned with the DoD's MOSA and the CFTs A3I approaches. You also assist with logistics engineering in maintenance planning to ensure that all aspects of maintenance are addressed in systems designs. You help define the work that the FVL CFT is accomplishing within the FVL ecosystem and assist with all phases of program integration and technical management. You provide technical expertise to influence the engineering design of aviation and missile weapon systems. - Completed Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
- At least 4 years of systems integration experience
- Active DoD secret clearance
- Can accurately use Microsoft Office products, especially Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint
- Excellent Video teleconference setup and minute-taking skills
- Top-notch customer service skills
Top secret (TS) clearance is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Experience with congressional actions, working at a higher headquarters (joint, combined, or combatant command), and supporting PEO aviation operations or exercises would be helpful!
