Director of Operations

For more than 30 years, Hildebrand has been focused on housing families experiencing homelessness throughout greater Boston. What sets us apart is the lengths we go to in getting to know our family members and their goals as they work to achieve self-sufficiency.

We are seeking a motivated leader to oversee the infrastructure that supports our day-to-day operations. In this role you will work as part of senior leadership to develop and improve processes, policies, and practices to advance the goals of the organization. Specifically, you oversee teams responsible for IT/Communications, tenant/property and vendor management, supply ordering, storage and distribution and units and vehicle maintenance.

This hands on, full-time role has flexible hours but is expected to be available to triage emergency issues as needed on occasional weekends and nights.

You will ensure our properties are maintained and the organization operates efficiently

Requirements

BA required or a minimum of 5 years in a similar role managing teams and a budget. Resourcefulness and the ability to access resource is critical in this role.

Experience in operational management and facilities maintenance. Prior experience in a leadership role with proven experience in critical thinking. Project management experience is critical and the ability to communicate with multiple constituencies.

Able to motivate and generate a team approach, with individual accountability. Proven ability to competently plan and manage multiple maintenance and repair projects simultaneously. Computer knowledge and proficiency required; familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Network experience helpful.

Familiarity working with local, state, and federal regulations.

A Massachusetts driver's license and own vehicle is required.
