Heber City Corporation is seeking to fill a full-time Utility Maintenance Operator I position on the Water, Roads & Pressurized Irrigation team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing a variety of apprentice-level, semi-skilled duties related to the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of City streets, water and sewer systems; operation of various types of heavy equipment, hand tools, and small power equipment; performs routine maintenance tasks and emergency repairs. Installs new water lines; tears out and replaces curbs, gutters, and streets in the process of locating, uncovering & repairing broken water lines. Performs water hydrant service. Participates in the construction, maintenance & repair of various street department projects.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma OR equivalent and two (2) years of general work experience performing job-related duties or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Some knowledge of operating basic manual and power tools is required, as well as the ability to operate heavy equipment of various kinds under varying conditions.
A commercial driver's license (CDL) is required within 30 days of hire.
