Harney District Hospital is seeking a Licensed Dietitian to join our team! Our Dietician will work with our providers to provide nutritional guidance to our out-patients, as well as working with our in-patient departments to provide nutritional support for our patients. This position will also provide oversight and support for our Dietary Department. The hourly wage starts at $28.00/hour and increases based on experience.
Established in Burns, Oregon in 1920, we are the only critical access hospital that serves residents living in rural communities spread across the 10,000 square miles of beautiful Harney County. We also run a family care clinic and are about to open a specialty care clinic. JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of nutrition guidelines in chronic disease management and medical terminology. Knowledge of HEDIS or NCQA quality measures. Must meet Harney District Hospital's health screening and vaccination requirements. Working knowledge of insurance and regulatory guidelines for practice. Knowledge of principles and case management guidelines.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Possess at least a bachelor's degree from accredited school with a major course of study approved by the Board of Licensed Dietitians in human nutrition, dietetics, foods and nutrition or food systems management, and possess an active and unencumbered Oregon State license from the Board of Licensed Dieticians.
Ability to work independently and rapidly develop productive and collaborative relationships with representatives from other departments and healthcare organizations.
Recognize and address the unique culture, language, health literacy and age appropriate care of diverse patients and caregivers.
Advanced patient interviewing and assessment skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work autonomously, maintain work schedule, prioritize, and maintain productivity through proactive case finding and referrals.
Proficient in computer applications related to work including Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word and Excel), electronic medical records and patient registries.
