Harbor House is seeking an experienced, dynamic individual to provide advocacy, support, crisis intervention, safety planning, and lethality assessments to survivors of domestic violence who call the Harbor House crisis line.
Education and Training: Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field is required. Professional experience may be substituted for formal education at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer.
Other Job Requirements: Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in both English and Spanish preferred. This position requires the ability to provide effective and immediate crisis intervention for clients. Advanced communication skills both orally and in writing. The ideal candidate will possess a history of successful advocacy on behalf of survivors of domestic violence. Basic to intermediate computer skills and a clean driving record required. Must attend a 3-day training in order to become CORE certified prior to working with survivors.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferably in a domestic violence program.
