Prevention Advocate

Harbor House is seeking an experienced, dynamic individual to be responsible for assisting the Prevention Coordinator in promoting Healthy Teen Relationships to stop teen dating violence before it starts. Responsible for assisting with the coordination and implementation of primary prevention initiatives for Harbor House of Central Florida. Supports the Orange County Domestic Violence Task Force (OCDVTF) in their efforts to increase their capacity regarding prevention skills, knowledge, and activities.

Education and Training: Bachelor's degree preferred in Public Administration, Education or Social Services related field. Professional experience may be substituted for formal education at the Chief Executive Officer's discretion.

Other Job Requirements: The ability to read, write and speak fluently in both English and Spanish is preferred. The ideal candidate will also possess public speaking and presentation skills; Intermediate to advanced computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. The ability to write professional emails and business correspondence is also required. Valid Florida Driver's License and cover-able by agency insurance. Completion of CORE Competency training within 30 days of hire is required.

Experience: Three to five years with proven track record in implementing community-based programs, conducting presentations and training.
