Harbor House is seeking an experienced, dynamic individual to join our Development Department. The Event Coordinator will strategically develop, manage, and grow Harbor House fundraising events, and determine goals and budgets for events. This individual will also collaborate closely with the Director of Shelter Services to develop annual and monthly events calendars for the clients we serve.

Education and Training: High School diploma/GED is required, AA degree preferred. Professional experience may be substituted for formal education at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer.

Other Job Requirements:

Create and manage event logistics including but not limited to negotiating contracts with outside vendors; organizes logistics, decor; permits, venues, and signage. Seek out and serve as a point of contact for 3rd party events as well as work with the development team to market and promote events. Must attend a 3day training to become CORE certified prior to working with survivors.

Experience: 2-3 yrs. experience in Public Speaking/Relations, special events coordination, Social Media, and Marketing.
