Harbor House is seeking an experienced, dynamic individual to provide advocacy, support, crisis intervention, referrals, safety planning, and lethality assessments to survivors of domestic violence who are attempting to secure injunctions for protection.
Education and Training: Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Counseling, or related field is required. Professional experience may be substituted for formal education at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer.
Other Job Requirements: This position requires knowledge of case management skills, the ability to provide effective and immediate crisis intervention for clients, and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Basic to intermediate computer skills are required. Must attend a 3-day training in order to become CORE certified prior to working with survivors
Experience: Minimum of two years in counseling or social work experience, preferably in a domestic violence program or criminal justice field.
