Harbor House is seeking an experienced, dynamic individual to provide advocacy and support the Justice System, crisis counseling and intervention, safety planning, lethality assessments, and follow-up services to participants referred for services by the law enforcement agencies, State Attorney's Office and other Community Partners.
Education and Training: Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field is preferred. Professional experience may be substituted for formal education at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer.
Other Job Requirements: This position requires knowledge of case management skills, basic counseling skills, community resources, the ability to provide effective and immediate crisis intervention for clients, ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Basic to intermediate computer skills are required skills and ability to work with a survivor data base and Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Must possess a good driving record, pass a pre-employment drug and background screen and attend a 3 day training to become CORE certified.
Experience: Minimum of one year in of service management experience preferably in a domestic violence program, law enforcement or other related victim advocate program.
