What you will be doing:

• Provide analysis of current infrastructure and recommends upgrades and changes for future growth
• Oversee the installing, configuring, and testing of operating systems, application software, and system management tools
• Ensure that all computer systems and infrastructure are operating at the highest levels of availability
• Write custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention
• Configuring, debugging, and supporting multiple infrastructure platforms
• Performing high-level root-cause analysis for service interruption recovery and creating preventive measures
• Provides on the job training and coaching less experienced staff members and interns as necessary.
• Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts
• Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of four years related experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in a large IT environment with many categories of devices, infrastructures and operating systems may be accepted
• 3+ years' experience in Microsoft Windows 2016 Active Directory
• 3+ years' experience working with Linux, AWS Cloud, and Linux OS
• Proficient at virtualization platforms such as VmWare, Xen, and KVM
• Excellent leadership, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible, Chef)
• Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
• Experience in Cloud technology, preferably AWS
