Position Summary

The Financial Analyst position will be responsible for overseeing the Grant's Farm Accounts Payable process which includes acquiring approval from each department, reviewing invoice accuracy/invoice history, and coordinating payment via bill.com or manual check. The Financial Analyst will also be responsible for the entire purchasing cycle including analyzing the procurement of culinary, merchandise, and special event materials to gain efficiencies in the procurement process, reduce costs, and achieve sound and manageable inventory levels. Financial Analyst will also assist Director of Finance by pulling weekly and monthly reports from payroll, point of sale and inventory systems for creation of Management Reports, Sponsorship and Partner reporting needs. Additional duties will include coordination of Event invoicing and cost reporting associated with each event, and Asset / Capital project tracking.

Essential Job Duties

  • Paying vendors through payment system, obtaining approvals from department leads and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor inquiries regarding finance
  • Partner with departments to drive cost reduction, gain gross profit efficiency, and provide financial data to assist in business decisions.
  • Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, statements, packing lists, etc.
  • Maintaining historical records for all expenditures.
  • Process Expense reports for employees, ensuring timely payments and receipt of all back up documentation
  • Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling, and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
  • Annual 1099 distribution to vendors, collecting W-9s.
  • Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos or shortages as received by the warehouse.
  • Maintains accounting ledgers for Capital Expenditures.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Produces reports weekly/monthly for Grant's Farm Partners and Management reports
  • Will assist the Finance Director with various projects, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of business finance and analytics
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Attention to detail, and general math skills
  • Experience with AP / Purchasing or Associate Level education in Business or Accounting
