Granger Medical Clinic has an immediate opening for a Full Time Payroll/HRIS Specialist in our Human Resources department at our West Jordan location.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Prepares and files all monthly and quarterly payroll taxes.
  • Completes all year end payroll activities.
  • Prepares and distribute W2s.
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processes and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with payroll software.
  • Foster positive and effective working relationships with all levels of company.
  • And other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 3 years of specific payroll experience required
