(A.) Performs physical design, grading and site design of electrical power substations. (B.) Creates drawings, specifications, and contract documents to be used for construction under the technical guidance of senior engineer. (C.) Evaluates, selects, and applies standard design techniques, procedures, and criteria required for design, making adaptations and modifications.

(A, B and C will be performed by all levels, E-I & II will perform under the guidance of a senior engineer)

E-III - May represent Design Services as an internal part of a corporate team on assignments with clear and specific objectives. Assists senior engineers in the training of new design associates. Assists in research, engineering studies, and the evaluation of materials. Develops new design specifications for approval by senior engineer. Work is performed independently under the technical guidance of a senior engineer.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: BS in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Experience: (E-I or E-II) Zero (0) to one and a half (1 ½) year or, (E-III) three (3) years design or maintenance experience in the electric utility industry.

Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Completion of EIT preferred.

Specialized Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Microsoft Word and Excel, CADD system and AutoCAD.

Must be able to pass a NERC CIP personnel risk assessment screening.
