Frank Beverage Group is now hiring for a Safety Manager. The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing occupational health policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations in the organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures.
  2. Works with Human Resources and functional management to administer safety programs and policies.
  3. Maintains CDL Driver files, DOT Clearinghouse and administers CDL random drug testing programs
  4. Processes and administers workers compensation claims and employees leaves.
  5. Develops and oversees workers compensation programs and claims procedures. Reviews and maintains a high level knowledge of claims and trends organization-wide.
  6. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules
  7. Ensures completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
  8. Coordinates, schedules, and provides technical and administrative support to the safety committee.
  9. Participates in safety-related committees and initiatives
  10. Stops operations and activities that could harm employees or equipment
  11. Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems
  12. Develops, sources, coordinates, and conducts safety training on applicable safety standards.
  13. Reviews safety training and recommends revisions, improvement an updates.
  14. Facilitates and participates in safety inspections and maintains inspection documentation
  15. Reviews accident and incident reports

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Extensive knowledge of current company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Ability to conduct training.
  4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  5. Strong facilitation and leadership skills.
  6. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  7. Strong time and project management skills
  8. Adaptability and ability to assist a variety of internal customer groups and varying personality types on a daily basis; ability to work with challenging customers internally & externally
  9. Ability to prioritize a varied workload

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.
  2. At least two years of occupational health and safety experience in an industrial environment required.
  3. May need to work evenings as necessary
  4. Ability to work and travel to company locations 20% of the time.
  5. A valid driver's license, reliable transportation and proof of insurance is required
  6. Ability to acquire and maintain necessary liquor salespersons permit
  7. Required to be at least 18 years of age
  8. Live with-in or in close proximity of assigned territory (preferred)
  9. Knowledgeable about assigned market; 1+ years' experience working in assigned market (preferred)

Physical Requirements:

  1. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  2. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  3. Ability to travel throughout facility as required to conduct safety inspections.
