POSITION OVERVIEW: The position of Quality Engineer reports to the Manufacturing Manager; they are responsible for improving processes and maintaining compliance with quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Maintain the quality management system to ISO 9001 requirements
Conduct internal audits to improve production processes
Coordinate and meet with external auditors
Resolve and document corrective/preventative action reports {CAPAs), hold meetings as needed
Investigate Nonconformance reports {NCRs) and help create solutions for manufacturing defects
Create and manage company documentation regarding quality and business processes {document releases)
Work with purchasing for vendor qualification and conduct supplier site audits
Work with service and engineering to resolve customer issues
Help conduct material review board meetings

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Excellent organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Understand statistical process control and analysis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with 1SO/ATEX/LVD standards for CE marked products
Experience with MRP {Material Resource Planning) software
Degree in Engineering
At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing
