Faulkner University is continually seeking qualified candidates to participate in the Adjunct Instructor Candidate Pool for both ON-GROUND and ONLINE** teaching opportunities at our Montgomery campus and other locations across Alabama. Individuals with experience and appropriate degrees in instructional areas offered at Faulkner University are encouraged to apply. Teaching opportunities are available at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Successful candidates must demonstrate a commitment to Christ-centered Liberal Arts education and the mission of Faulkner University.

Individuals with pre-identified competencies will be chosen from the Adjunct Instructor Candidate Pool to participate in additional application/selection processes as specific needs arise, as determined by the directors of Faulkner's academic departments and programs. Individual departments set their own criteria for selecting and approving candidates that include, but are not limited to:

• Significant, applied experience within the professional setting of intended instruction
• Teaching experience and past performance
• Academic Credentials

Positions will be available on an as-needed basis and are dependent upon the availability of classes in the various fields of instruction. You will be contacted by the appropriate academic department if chosen to participate further in the recruiting process. Employment is conditional upon a satisfactory background check and verification of work authorization through E-Verify.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in the field of instruction, OR a Master's degree in a related field PLUS 18 graduate level hours in the teaching discipline
  • Teaching experience at the college level or demonstrated teaching ability
  • Experience in using LMS (Blackboard, Canvas, etc.)
  • Active member of the church of Christ preferred
