Family Building Blocks in Salem, OR is seeking to hire a Marketing Manager.

The Marketing Manager is a member of the Development Team and serves as the primary graphic designer for Family Building Blocks. This role oversees organization-wide print and digital marketing materials and initiatives for fundraising efforts and key program offerings. This key staff person establishes and executes the annual marketing strategy, plan, and calendar. Supervises Community Engagement Coordinator.


Publications & Marketing

  • Produce (create, design, and coordinate content) printed newsletters, an annual report, e-newsletters, and other content as directed.
  • Schedule and manage all printing and mailing with print vendors.
  • Create brand/logo usage guide and train staff on usage.
  • Update and print agency materials such as brochures, letterhead, business cards, thank you cards, and collateral materials as requested.
  • Write and distribute press releases to media and coordinate photo opportunities.
  • Regularly coordinate with professional photographer and program staff to maintain current photo library of program activities; act as point of contact for event photographer.
  • Design layout and write copy for event invitations, auction catalogs, posters, slide decks, and other materials.

Website and Social Media

  • Manage and update FBB websites; ensure that content is relevant, engaging, and current.
  • Through supervision of Community Outreach Coordinator, oversee social media strategy and execution.


  • Maintain digital and print media archive.
  • Design and order organizational merchandise and recognition awards.
  • Annually update donor recognition boards at all locations.
  • Attend fundraising and other events to provide support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • An AA in Graphic Design, Marketing or related field
  • Three years of related experience, graphic design, web platforms and public speaking
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening

Preferred Education an Experience

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing or related field
  • Two years of related experience in web platforms and public speaking
  • Experience with children's programs, non-profit organization and/or volunteering

Expected Hours of Work

This position requires a flexible schedule to assist for events, deliver presentation and participate in program activities/events. This may include occasional overtime, late and/or early mornings and weekends.
