The Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist (EHS) to join their team!

SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for assessment and monitoring services to childcare providers participating in the Early Head Start (EHS) Child Care Partnership Grant. The duties require managing and providing oversight of the monitoring and tracking activities conducted within the EHS Program to meet compliance mandates defined by the Head Start Performance Standards, State of Florida Child Care Licensing, School Readiness, and local regulations. Participates in EHS Quality Assurance efforts.
WORKING HOURS:
This is a full-time position, and business hours at the Port location are Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Longer hours, evenings, and weekends may be necessary on occasion.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts on-site programmatic monitoring review of Early Head Start programs using approved program monitoring tools and prepares reports of monitoring results.
- Conducts follow-up visits as required for Quality Improvement Plans.
- Conducts consistent desk reviews in the monitoring of EHS providers and of the overall program.
- Supports in health and safety, the collection of health-related documents, and input into the designated system.
- Monitors the quality and compliance of education files, licensing requirements, referral systems for families and children, disabilities, health, nutrition, curriculum implementation, mental health, provision of social services, and ERSEA systems.
- Meets with EHS administrative team to keep them abreast of the compliance outcomes and/or new developments in state, regional and national levels concerning the Early Head Start program.
- Generates and analyzes reports to implement strategies for continuous quality improvements.
- Assists in the development of procedures, documents, and other systems to maintain compliance with Head Start Performance Standards.
- Updates Balance Score Card or Performance Record for Partner Providers quarterly.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or in a Public Health, Child Development, Early Childhood Education or Health or related field.
- Knowledge of local licensing for Family Child Care Homes and Facilities and Health and Safety practices.
- Relevant knowledge of Head Start Program operations, inspections in early learning environments, and auditing.
- Experience with implementation of Corrective Action Plans and follow-up, knowledgeable of relevant federal, state and local regulatory requirements.
- Minimum of one-year experience in health, child development or a related field, two years preferred.
- Bilingual and able to read, write and speak in English and Spanish or Creole proficiently, is a plus.
