We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to fill an Early Head Start Preschool Teacher role at our Blackfoot Early Head Start location. We need a caring individual to join our team at Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership (EICAP) in providing high-quality educational services to children from birth to three years old. In this role, you will work closely with infants, toddlers, and their families to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum, activities, and assessments.

Responsibilities:

The successful Early Head Start Preschool Teacher is responsible for preparing infants and toddlers for successful transition into a pre-school classroom by providing a supportive, safe, enriched learning environment.

• You will work collaboratively with a co-teacher to develop individual goals and group lessons for children and provide ongoing assessment on progress and an atmosphere that promotes and reinforces parental involvement in the classroom.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of each child's progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure growth and development.
• Communicate regularly with families.
• Maintain a safe, clean and healthy learning environment that meets licensing and safety regulations.
• Attend meetings and trainings as required, including ongoing professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or Equivalency Degree (GED) and
• The ability to obtain the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential with EICAP's guidance within 12 months of hire.
• Prefer an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education
• Preferred experience working with children 0 - 3 years but will train the right individual.
• Must pass a Health and Welfare Enhanced Background Check
• Must pass a Tuberculosis (TB) screening and physical exam.
• The ability to become CPR and First Aid certified through EICAP's training program.

Compensation:
