Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI), a leading power engineering consultant firm, is seeking a motivated individual to join the team in our Raleigh, NC office as a drafter/designer. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and design support to design teams involved with the conceptual, preliminary, and final design of substation and transmission line projects, 34.5 kV through 500 kV.
The successful candidates will perform drafting in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation related to electrical substations. Controls design will involve preparation of drawings to include panel layouts, one-line, three-line, DC schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Minimum Requirements: Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation and possess a strong computer aptitude in a Windows environment; experience with physical drawings to scale; paper space/model space experience and understanding needed; design experience preferred; physical designer would need experience in electrical substations with arrangement, elevations, conduit plan/details, grounding plan/details, and control house layout. Successful applicant may be subject to client mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving will be required.
