Design West Technologies Inc. of Tustin, CA has an immediate need for a full-time Manufacturing Manager. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for providing guidance and work direction to lead manufacturing team to achieve production goals consistent with safety standards, quality, schedule and budget. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A MANUFACTURING MANAGER AT DWT
With minimal supervision, the Manufacturing Manager will manage all aspects of the day-to-day manufacturing process including developing plans and work schedules for assigned work areas to achieve maximum effective utilization of all available resources. This includes anticipating problems and where implement procedures to offset these problems and/or proactively seek assistance from appropriate support groups when production problems arise. The successful candidate must possess leadership qualities that support effective communication with everyone in operations and is responsible for ensuring that the entire production work force is properly motivated while creating a positive work environment. This individual must maintain an adequately skilled work force consistent with production goals and schedules, providing training and guidance as required for personnel development and resolution of routine problems. This role is champion of the company's safety program and ensures a safe and orderly work environment while producing parts which vary in size, weight, quantity and configuration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of Bachelors level degree and 5 years of experience or high school level degree and 7 years of manufacturing management experience in a rapid paced environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings preferred
- Possess a strong working knowledge of manufacturing management, CNC machining procedures, fabrication assembly, inspection standards, tools and facilities.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and ERP business system
