We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual with an accounting background to join our firm. The Senior Accountant works with the COO, Controller, Director of FP&A, and other team members to support the growth in volume and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enter and process expenses and disbursements timely and accurately
  • Record cash receipts and accounts receivable
  • Record journal entries
  • Prepare and implement Accounting Procedures manual
  • Take ownership of cash planning
  • Prepare month end financial statements and package
  • Prepare external quarterly packages to executive team and external third parties
  • Lead and track membership revenue streams
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses as requested
  • Assist Business Analyst in analyzing Budget to Actual
  • Participate in financial modeling and projections
  • Prepare and file local and state tax / registration forms and returns
  • Coordinate and communicate with external third-party accounting firm
  • Assist in year-end audit
  • Assist with tax return preparation as deemed necessary
  • Access insurance carrier portals and update information in weekly reports and Salesforce
  • Oversee third party vendors to ensure all state licenses and renewals for DPL and Consultants are maintained
  • Assist Executive and other team members as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from accredited college or university
  • 3 to 5 years of accounting experience
  • High level of proficiency with Excel
  • Experience in financial reporting, month end process, and analyses
  • Team player with excellent communication skills. Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in QuickBooks
  • CPA license
  • Experience in the financial services or insurance industry
