We are seeking a Tableau ninja to expand our business intelligence and analytics team. Our primary source systems (data sets) include Salesforce, DPL Everywhere (our in house platform), financial transactional data and marketing data including Google Analytics along with other ancillary data sources like MS-Excel. We expect the ideal candidate to love data, understand how to define, build and qa visual stories, banded reporting and interactive analytics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assure reports, dashboard and visual analysis is built and delivered accurately
  • Develop a high level of expertise in data access through Tableau
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Director of BI and our analytics personnel to assure reporting outcomes are well defined, understood and delivered in an accurate and timely manner
  • Assure daily delivery of key report outcomes
  • Data sets will cover all aspects of the business including customer engagement, operational execution and financial performance

  • Demonstrated ability to use the Tableau (Desktop) for reporting delivery
  • SQL mastery
  • Experience with integrating external and internal datasets from different source systems (including marketing related data from Google Analytics, LinkedIn, Facebook, other ad related platforms and custom data sources)
  • Knowledge of modern BI architectures and platform solutions include real time, streaming analytics and data lakes
  • 2 years of business reporting build and delivery, story-telling through dashboards

Education and/or Experience

  • B.S. in Business Management, IT, Computer Science or equivalent related job experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of development experience
  • Experience in Insurance and/or Financial Products & Services a plus

Preferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Platform certifications welcome


You will work in concert with our Business Intelligence Director to develop and implement appropriate daily reporting requirements and ad hoc analytic reporting. You will also be the responsible for the verifying reporting requirements, understanding our data model and key data relationships and leveraging both to deliver exceptional operational, sales, marketing and financial reporting solutions. You will make certain that data delivery and quality exceeds the expectation of our data analysts.
