District Sales Representative: Derstine's has several District Sales Representative opportunities available for professionals with experience in the food industry as a sales rep, restaurant operator or chef, broker, food service manager, etc. to help us continue to grow the business. Derstine's business continues to operate successfully, even in these difficult times by cultivating new relationships in the hunger relief space, government contracts, assisted living, healthcare and restaurants that have found new and creative ways to continue to serve their customer base.
If you know the food business, are hard working, persistent, resilient, can build rapport easily with customers, and aren't afraid to ask for the sale, then apply immediately.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Identify, qualify, and close direct sales opportunities with new customers.
Develop product and service awareness and promote key messages through various campaigns; social media, direct email, etc.
Lead in the identification, qualification and pursuit of strategic business opportunities by building customer relationships.

Previous food sales experienced preferred.
Strong business and financial acumen, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Experience with technology, computer systems and programs; Microsoft Office Suite, TEAMS, SAP, etc.
Ability to build external/internal relationships.
Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
