Government Sales Representative: Derstine's has an excellent remote Government Sales Representative opportunity for a sales professional with experience selling to local, state and federal governments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Identify, qualify, and close direct sales opportunities with local, state and federal governments.

Develop product and service awareness and promote key messages through various campaigns; social media, direct email, etc.

Lead in the identification, qualification and pursuit of strategic business opportunities with government through the building of customer relationships, effective bid strategies, and proposal development.

Build and manage an expanded pipeline of opportunities with government agencies and other organizations doing business with the government for subcontracted sales opportunities.

Requirements

Specific experience selling into government accounts required.

Experience in the preparation of RFP packets, negotiations and award of contracts and subcontracts.

Strong business and financial acumen, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to build external/internal relationships.

Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills.
