Support and Mentor A Young Man

Provide support and mentoring to a 23-year old young gay man who lives in a Minneapolis apartment. This individual needs to be supported due to a brain-based disability and a history of trauma. He is gregarious, curious and industrious. He currently works in a retail shop, attends a Program at a Technical College and is a graduate of Edina High School. He has a desire to participate in a productive manner in the community.

Position Responsibilities

Personal Support Professional will provide one-to-one personal support and supervision to allow him to be fully integrated into the community, at home, school, work and beyond. Daily activities including transportation, planning and scheduling activities, attending social activities, medical appointments, grocery shopping, etc. Support independent living and social skill development, health maintenance, personal care, and behavioral development in accordance with his Community Support Plan.
