GENERAL SUMMARY:

As the primary coordinator of all cancer programs, activities and projects within the hospital and clinic, the manager works alongside other health care professionals to provide treatment and a comfortable environment for patients suffering from various forms of cancer. This position requires someone with excellent leadership and communication skills.

The Manager of the Cancer Treatment Center adheres to the principals, philosophy, and mission of CVRMC in all aspects of job performance and attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care administration meets the minimum requirement for this position.
• 5 years of management experience.
• Experience in cancer treatment, oncology clinic work, or radiation oncology preferred.
• Current Arizona Registered Nurse Licensure or eligible.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS.
• Must be able to interact effectively with co-workers, patients/family, physicians, and other hospital personnel.
• Must be effective communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently as well as within a team.
• Must have computer skills. Must be able to perform effectively under physical and mental stress. Promotes positive patient/customer relations.
• Serves as a role model for staff by demonstrating clinical expertise when providing direct patient care.
• Practices according to approved policies, procedures, protocols and practice guidelines.
• Supports a work environment that is conducive to recruitment and retention of staff.
• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with the health care team.
• Able to develop management skills consistent with position and responsibilities.
• "Can Do" positive attitude.
