Position: Director of Marketing

Position Summary: The Director of Marketing is responsible for establishing, promoting, and maintaining the company's brand to generate business. Working with and managing an internal team to develop strategies and execute tactics that communicate the brand message. Lead unique project and product selling propositions through public relations, traditional and nontraditional marketing channels, emerging technology platforms, effective social media engagement, product design, concept planning, sales staffing, and events.

Reporting Relationship: Vice President of Development Cumby Development

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define the marketing operations vision and strategies including planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the marketing department.
  • Direct and manage internal marketing team
  • Collaborate all marketing functions to plan, execute, and measure the performance of campaigns and marketing initiatives.
  • Define and communicate internally and externally the companies brand position and value proposition.
  • Develop a cohesive content strategy that drives brand awareness and demand.
  • Develop new thought leadership content that propels Cumby's name and brand.
  • Manage and where possible automate marketing processes and projects.
  • Own the marketing calendar and ensure full adherence and transparency across the department.
  • Ensure understanding and buy-in to marketing goals and KPIs that will deliver the company's overall strategy.
  • Manage the budget and reporting for the marketing department across all functions.
  • Ensure knowledge and adherence to all brand guidelines and governance.
  • Develop and manage a central resource of all brand assets and guidelines.
  • Track and report key success metrics for the teams and executive leadership in order to determine the overall performance of the marketing team and marketing programs.
  • Deliver key insights and recommendations to leadership that optimize the performance of the marketing department and marketing programs/campaigns.
  • Drive strategic change management & adoption of best practices to ensure operational excellence across marketing initiatives.
  • Track and report key success metrics for the teams and executive leadership in order to determine the overall performance of the marketing team and marketing programs.
  • Deliver key insights and recommendations to leadership that optimize the performance of the marketing department and marketing programs/campaigns.
  • Drive strategic change management & adoption of best practices to ensure operational excellence across marketing initiatives.
  • Monitors competitor marketing and promotional activities.
  • Work closely with the Sales Leadership team to develop a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy.
  • Develop scalable processes and procedures in support of the company's rapid growth. Managing and overseeing social media research and consumer intent modeling; ensuring results are distributed on an ongoing basis to appropriate parties.
  • Reviewing messages for all social media content, ensuring quality control (and attention to potential cultural sensitivities).
  • Developing a roadmap for the social media program based on data and insights and oversee implementation and measurement as it rolls out.
  • Translating data into actionable insights for content strategist (to ensure the most compelling digital content possible).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required, Master's degree ideal but not required.
  • Knowledgeable in analyzing and reporting marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • 10 years of marketing leadership management with a proven record of success. relevant experience in marketing communications, public relations and/or a related field including research, advertising, management consulting, media, or publishing.
  • Highly data-driven and analytical, coupled with strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision making
  • Strong real-estate demand generation and lead generation experience - including Account-Based Marketing, email nurture campaigns - with readiness to implement best practices day one
  • Strong familiarity with Sales Operations and Marketing Technology.
  • Be able to display a successful track record of placing business press articles along with proven ability to consistently make sounds judgments and solve problems in a collaborative way.
