The Core Faculty for the M.A. Counseling Program at the Townsend Institute is responsible for teaching, mentoring, advising and collaborating in the curricular and accreditation efforts of the MA Counseling Program.
The Core Faculty for the M.A. Counseling Program is appointed by the Provost in consultation with the University President, the Dean and Associate Dean of the School of Professional Studies, and the Director of the Counseling Program.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The following are the minimum requirements for this position:
- A faculty member in good standing for a minimum of 5 years.
- A terminal degree in Counselor Education and Supervision (EdD or PhD) from a CACREP accredited program.
- Licensure in Mental Health Counseling or Licensed Professional Counselor with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
- Ability and willingness to undergo training in the Townsend model.
Responsibilities involve but are not limited to:
- With the Director and Core Faculty and ensure all program components are aligned to the Institute and University's mission, as well as appropriate WUSCUS and CACREP standards.

This is a deployed position and reflects the national reach of the Townsend programs. A certain amount of yearly travel may be scheduled for Townsend program intensive or university faculty meetings.
