Applications are being accepted for a half-time (.5 FTE) administrative assistant for the MFA - Creative Writing program and the Center for the Literary Arts. This position provides administrative and clerical support for the programs; assists with web page updates, program and event marketing, program reviews, and other major projects; assists with recruiting faculty and students; plans and organizes two 8-day residences per year (in January and July); coordinates with Admissions and the Registrar's Office to manage the Slate CRM, create the graduate student academic calendar, and update the Graduate Catalogue for the MFA-Creative Writing; and coordinates campus visits for visitors and other events.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required. Undergraduate college degree preferred. Three years of related experience is required.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Ability to take personal/professional initiative, prioritize tasks, handle multiple demands simultaneously and to conclusion, and engage others in solutions as appropriate. Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of general office procedures and equipment, including the ability to use computers, copiers and printers; ability to use various office software programs, enter data and manage databases, and construct and maintain web pages.
