Our engineering teams are building the next generation of barcode readers allowing our clients to offer a superior user experience to their customers. As a Mechanical Engineer at Code, you will participate in and oversee projects critical to the evolution of Code products. You will meet with project and product managers as part of a cross functional team and help plan and execute the product vision and user experience.
You will need expert experience with SolidWorks and prior experience in designing tools used in a plastics manufacturing environment. Code engineering is an Agile workplace, utilizing Jira to track and plan current and future work.
Code is headquartered in Salt Lake City, USA, and has offices in Acton, MA, and the Netherlands.
Proficient in the development, production, and maintenance of all mechanical components and assemblies through the product life cycle
Ability to take on projects from concept to engineering release
Identify issues on existing products that require revisions while working on new product development
Review and understanding of internal mechanical engineering criteria
Proficient using SolidWorks and EPDM preferred
Proficient in generating, compiling, and controlling product documentation, drawings, and technical data sheets
Experience in various manufacturing processes, including Injection molding, Die Casting, machining, and Stamping.
Design for manufacturing experience.
Ability to think "out of the box" in all facets of the product development process
Communication and presentation skills within a cross-functional team
Experience in adapting Agile/Scrum into workflow
Experience designing products in Healthcare/Industrial/Automotive/Commercial Environments.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
5+ Years' Experience (3+ in Plastics Industry specifically Injection Molding)
