Description: Duties include performing traditional and innovative DPW maintenance, such as asphalt repair and replacement, concrete work, and storm drain maintenance, hydrant maintenance, sewer jetting and Cross-Connection Program. This team-oriented position shall also have the ability to assist with small equipment field repairs. Team members will work closely with other City departments to assist with maintenance activities and investigate citizen complaints or concerns. The desirable candidate must have knowledge of basic mechanical repair practices used to properly maintain assigned equipment, general knowledge of hand tools, and have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, be 18 years of age or older. A valid driver's license, Chauffeurs License preferred.

Compensation:

Salary starting at $15.50/hour with up to 37.5 hours per week.

Employees who stay past August 31 and work an average of 30 hours per week will be eligible for a $2.00/hour pay increase for the remainder of the season.

Position duration is end of May until the end of October. All hired laborers will be eligible for rehire in May of 2024 if they meet standards set forth by the department.

No Nights or Weekends.
