Circuit Media is searching for a Technical Writer with project management expertise to join our team at the Department of the Interior. The successful candidate shall provide a full range of technical writing experience and project management know how, necessary to support the agency to ensure progress, collaboration, and task management. All tasks will be focused on reducing the risk of overall failure, maximizes benefits, and minimizes costs. This includes, but is not limited to project task prioritizing, communication plan development, project reporting, procedure writing, and developing and editing documentation, to strategically manage existing and future projects/efforts.

The candidate should be creative, flexible, and demonstrate sound judgement. The candidate should be able to function as a team member whether in the office or working remotely.

Role responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Advise staff for BD/proposal information, guidance, and support.
  • Procedure and process advisory support.
  • Project management and support.
  • Project analysis and documentation.
  • Technical writing.
    • Aid in the development and editing of business documentation.
    • Review and/or edit content developed by other team members.
  • Business analysis, alignment, and requirements support.
    • Assist with defining, analyzing, and document detail-level business and other requirements.
    • Assist in the creation and dissemination of email notifications.
    • Provide support and assistance in developing and maintaining SharePoint sites.
    • Provide courteous customer service to all employees and stakeholders.
  • Provide project metrics and performance reporting.
  • Liaise with six or more supported branches within the agency on projects encompassing but not limited to:
    • National Help Desk
    • Networking
    • Enterprise Server Administration
    • Desktop Support
    • Systems Engineering
    • Account Management
    • IT Security, and Configuration/Change Management

Qualifications:

  • Two+ years of experience in technical writing.
  • One - two years of Project Management, preferably in IT.
  • Current project management certificate or willing to obtain certification within six months.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage resources, workloads, and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, distill, and present data and status on projects/progress.
  • Written communication skills to develop test plans, status reports, business documentation, SOP's, guides, policies, white papers, email notifications, other management documents as requested.
  • Exceptional planning, organizational, writing, editing, formatting, and project management skills.
  • Ability to review and edit material for content, style, and compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Business products.
  • Ability to apply creative problem solving.
  • Flexible and adaptable.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with the U. S. Federal Government business operations.
  • Prior help desk, networking, desktop support experience.
  • Degree in business, communications, information technology, or allied field.
