Visual Information Communications Specialist- Videographer

Job Description:

The purpose of this position is to provide support services to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Bureau of Legislative and Public Affairs (LPA) in Washington D.C. Will help with efforts across, up to, 7 different offices within the LPA through administrative, programmatic, and technical support that will supply services to support LPA in accomplishing Agency priorities.

Located: Denver, CO

Education: Bachelor's Degree Required

Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience w/ Bachelor's, 3 years with Master's

Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Other Qualifications:

  • Audio/Video Specialist - 3-5 years of audio/video communications experience, 1-3+ years of foreign development exposure, 3-5 years of Adobe Creative Suite or similar experience, 3-5 years of Mac and Windows experience, 2 years of coursework in photography and audio/video production.
  • Strong skillset required in photo-taking, video-shooting and audio recording to tell foreign development oriented and staff stories.
  • Strong skillset required in full-cycle audio and video development, production and post-production ability.

Job Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Independently coordinates the IC team's audio and video projects portfolio including management of these projects and planning to meet the high demand of Agency customers.
  • Collaborates with technical experts.
  • Writes scripts and designs storyboards.
  • Shoots, records, edits, captions and posts live audio and video.
  • Utilizes and edits stock video for relevant projects.
  • Creates animations for video projects.
  • Creates music soundtracks for audio and video projects.
  • Creates Podcasts and other audio-only projects.
  • Utilizes Adobe Creative Suite or similar for all audio and video projects.
  • Tracks the acquisition and storage of IC hardware and software.
  • Coordinates audio and video projects plus finished content within the Agency's Digital asset management systems.
  • Independently coordinates the IC team's photo projects.
  • Coordinates digitization and archiving initiatives.
  • Tracks the acquisition and storage of IC hardware and software.
  • Collaborates with other teams and bureaus on photo projects.
  • Shoots, edits, captions and posts photos on behalf of the IC team using Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
  • Develops photo campaigns and shares content on the Agency's social media platforms.
  • Coordinates photo projects and ensures accurate photo information is recorded within the Agency's digital asset management systems.
  • Independently coordinates the entire internal portfolio of IC audio, video, and photo projects, including project planning (as assigned).
  • Collects, analyzes and reports relevant data on A/V use and A/V effectiveness from Agency consumers.
  • Coordinates the development and distribution of audio/video metrics analysis for each project and overall.
